1st Steps towards a Georgia Drivers Permit: Take it
July 21, 2018
Ain’t that the truth? The Chinese have a saying that a journey of a thousand miles starts with one step.
Nothing could be more true.
It doesn’t matter whether the journey is a thousand miles, one mile, round the world, or even just down the road to the convenience store on the corner.
It still starts with one step. Even getting your Georgia drivers permit.
(Unless, of course, you are lucky enough to have a full driving license in the State of Georgia, in which case you only need to take as many steps as it takes to open the car door and get into the driver’s seat).
The whole point of this Chinese saying (and they have very many other good ones) is that nothing is going to happen until you take that first step. If you want to get from Atlanta to Columbus, you will never get there until you take the first step. And then another one. And then another one. And so on.
Your Georgia drivers permit is just around the corner, but you will never get it unless you take that first step.
In the case of Georgia, that means (if you want to get your provisional license at age 16) you have to complete your 30 hours of an approved drivers’ ed course.
Of course, you can wait another year until you’re 17, but do you really want to do that? Our guess is that - no, you don’t.
So, to get your Georgia driver’s permit, you are going to have to take that first step.
Now you can find classes that you can take over a period of 30 weeks (an hour a week), or even 15 weeks, but that all takes time. If you are like most teens, time is one thing you’re short of.
Our Online Georgia Drivers Test
That’s why GA Driver Safety developed the online drivers’ ed course that you can begin today. You can do the whole course online at far less cost and inconvenience of attending classes once a week.
You can do them whenever you want. And wherever you want. As long as you have an internet connection, you can log on and just pick up from wherever you left off. There’s a very convenient timer programmed into the course, so you’ll always know exactly where you are.
When you have completed the 30 hour course, which is approved by the DDS, you will automatically get your Georgia DDS certificate by email, and the DDS will be notified that you have passed.
What could be more simple than that?
