Learner Permit
Teens must pass a vision screening and written knowledge test to obtain a learner permit.
Must be accompanied by a licensed driver age 21 or older in the front seat at all times.
Must complete 50 hours of supervised driving, including 10 hours at night.
No driving between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.

16+
Intermediate Restricted License
After holding a learner permit for at least 180 days and completing the required practice hours, teens may take the road skills test.
Nighttime Driving Restriction: No driving between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. unless accompanied by a parent or guardian or for work/school with documentation.
Passenger Limitation: Only one passenger under 21 is allowed unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.
All occupants must wear seat belts at all times.

Intermediate Unrestricted License
Teens with a restricted license for 12 months and no driving offenses may apply for an unrestricted intermediate license.
Removes nighttime and passenger restrictions.
Must maintain a clean driving record for 12 months prior.

18+
Full Unrestricted License
At age 18, teens automatically graduate to a full, unrestricted license if all GDL requirements have been met and the driving record remains clean.
