I just passed the course last week. :) I had an amazing time. Both instructors were phenomenal and really seemed passionate about teaching us how to ride safely . I appreciated the female representation. Charlie is such a badass woman and a great instructor. i still think it was the best $425 I've spent. I look forward to taking the intermediate course one day. Thank you for the am experience and the opportunity to achieve something on my bucket list. :)

I can't recommend this course enough! If you're a beginner, I highly recommend it. I had never been on a motorcycle before, and Alex and Keny made my first experience the best. I felt very confident having them as instructors. You can really tell they enjoy their job Thank you guys

Their website says this class is for beginners. But let me tell you if you have never ridden a motorcycle and have never been around it, this class is not for you. This class is for people who need a DMV waiver and who know how to operate a motorcycle. Most of the students in my class had some experience driving motorcycles. I was in the minority of those who had 000 experience. The structure of the class is very intense and very overwhelming. Instructors move you from one step to the next step and then to the next. Not sure how it is possible to switch from one step to the next when you are not completely familiar with the first one. Honestly, I think 4 hours session on the first day is too much for a complete beginner. Coming here, I thought I would learn how to ride a motorcycle. My goal was not to pass or not to pass the test. Anyway, I ended up falling off a motorcycle 3 times within 3 hours, the motorcycle I rode was very heavy for my light and small frame. I decided to dropoff the class. Which means I threw my money away. My suggestion, if you are a complete beginner like me, take one-on-one classes somewhere else first where you can learn at your own pace versus trying to keep up with the group.

I just took the CMSP course September 23/24, 2024. My instructor was Charli and she was a really great instructor. She was funny but also she could be pretty "mean" (that one is for you Charli). This class definitely isn't for those who are sensitive and not coachable. If you can't take criticism and apply it to your riding then you will not pass. Instructors are 100% lookin out for everyone and our safety. I passed the test feeling confident, although i've been around motorcycles, dirt bikes, and mountain biking growing up, this course is very valuable for when you are a beginner rider. If you really want to ride you should put 100% of your effort and focus into this course if you want to pass. And it's the best $425 i spent this year. Shoutout to Charli for helping me grow and feel confident in my riding.

Charlie was the worst. I think she hates men for some reason. Just kidding. Sorry, still going to have to wait for your bad review Charlie:) my experience was great. Had a blast going thru the beginner course even though I've been riding for 15 years. I took the course because I haven't ridden for over 5 years and needed a refresher plus my waiver for my license. Charlie and Alex were great instructors who were super fun and even though I thought I knew it all, they taught me a lot of valuable stuff I'm definitely going to implement in the future.

Let's just say that the MTC course is not really for beginners... or it is for those who already kind of have experience with Motorcycles. This is a review for their Chula Vista location. I took the course in October 2023 and a review was long overdue. I had a very not enthusiastic experience with them. While the theoric/writing part of the experience was easy and straightforward, the Motorcycle practice sessions were simply appalling and absolutely not geared towards ultimate beginners. The entire two sessions are already a lot. You gotta be there by 6am and have to follow along. Let me tell you that by the end of the second day, when you actually have to pass your test around 4 or 5pm you are tired and not necessarily as focused as you would like to be, especially when you are learning something 100% new to you. The class was kind of a joke, the majority of the people in the course were somewhat experienced or had some sort of history with Motorcycles. Quite frankly, it was pretty obvious that they were trying to find a simple way to get their license. I kept wondering what I was doing amongst them. $425 the course is hard to swallow for that kind of "quality." In addition, while there were a couple of good teachers, those who were bad made the whole experience not worth it. At best, it was hard to hear them, and for the worst, some of them were condescending when some questions were being asked. I'm European, and I'm used to having to take expensive and required driving courses to keep my license, but these MTC classes were not helpful and almost made me want to quit learning how to ride. Now I'm finding myself booking private motorcycle lessons instead, because in all honesty, the Pacific Safety Center did not: 1) Make me feel safe riding bikes, 2) Did not make me feel confident enough in my ability when it comes to riding on my own, 3) Did not provide useful techniques for me to use, on the contrary, they left me confused and unsure of what to do next.

First time riding a motorcycle was at the course, and man did I have a blast, Alex and Kenny were my instructors and they knew exactly what to say and what I could do better, once I followed suit, I got it right every time, they really know their stuff! Alex's energy and overall vibes in particular were contagious and a real confidence booster. Can't recommend these guys enough! Will definitely come back for the advanced course in the future :))

I had a horrible experience on day two with the two male instructors. On 9/28/24 I attended the PSC motorcycle course as a first time rider at Southwestern College in SD. On day one all we got was instructors yelling and screaming at the students and constantly telling a class of 30 plus people that we were running out of daylight and we were so behind and I can truly say walked away with some knowledge and confidence. If you're attending as a first time rider you have anxious and it doesn't make it any better getting constantly yelled at especially if you are paying $400 to take a safety course. 1. The class has way too many people for 2 instructors that are over worked and have very little patience. I don't blame them working in the summer sun for 10 plus hours. 2. It's really challenging to hear the instructions across a giant parking lot with motorcycle engine going. 3. YOU ARE SUPER RUSHED TO GET THROUGH THE EXERCISES THEY GIVR YOU TWO CHANCES IF YOU DON'T GET IT ON THE SECOND TRY THEY ARE MOVING ON TO MORE ADVANCED EXERCISES! On day two 06/29/24, we had completely two different instructors can't recall their names one with dreadlocks and the other short Hispanic guy with facial hair. They started out all cool and nice than by halfway through the class they were becoming more frustrated with the students. On one of the speeding and swerving exercises I was on a Honda Grom where I had a fall and broke my thumb two days later had to have surgery. The peg broke on the motorcycle at the moment I sucked it up and was given a completely a different motorcycle with super responsive throttle that every time I would open the throttle it would jump. I asked if I could use one of the other Groms to take the riding exam part and they both stated no they didn't have time for me to wait for one of the other riders that was 10 people ahead of me to use the other Grom for my riding exam. That automatically made me feel like oh well you already failed the course it's up to you if you want to hangout so we can tell you that sorry you have no other choice but to pack up and leave. I made an incident report of my fall I was told someone would follow up with me regards to retaking the riding day two portion of it for $60 to $100 feet but no one ever called me not emailed. I followed up I was given the run around by some lady over the phone. Over the experience was bad I took another course with a different organization where we had 3 instructors for 9 people and successfully passed and walked away with a lot knowledge and how to be a safe rider. PSC JUST WANTS YOUR MONEY AND I TRULY THINK THEY DON'T CARE IF YOU'RE LEARNING OR NOT THEY JUST PUSH YOU TO THE NEXT EXERCISE SO THEY CAN CLAM THAT THEY HAVE COVERED THE COURSE MATERIAL AND THEY DON'T HAVE TIME TO REVIEW OR GIVE YOU POINTERS. I would do some research before paying these people $450 for a rushed two day course with two burnt out instructors with very little patience for 30 plus students.

A special thanks to Charlie, Jeremy, and Chris who shared their experiences, knowledge, and their passion for riding safely. The effective course curriculum meets the needs of a new rider & experienced riders. The training staff was amazing with time management out on the practice course.

The instructor I had (Alex) was not only helpful and clear on instructions, but he also would say positive encouraging words to you while doing the exercises. Kerri in the office was also so helpful in booking my classes and responding to emails right away. I got my certificate in the mail a few days after completing the course. I highly recommend PSC

Listen up, fellow riders! Captain 619 here, and I gotta share my experience with the motorcycle safety course at Pacific Safety Center. Let me give ya a tip, brothers and sisters. Make sure you hop online a couple weeks ahead of time to register for classes. Those spots fill up faster than a Harley on the open road. And hey, consider takin' the online course so you can knock out the written part before you hit the pavement for the real deal, which takes two days. The ridin' portion goes down at the North Island Credit Union Amphitheater in Chula Vista. Now, let me tell ya about Kerri, the rockstar in the office. She's a real peach, always there to answer my questions. The best way to reach her is through text, so keep that in mind. In our class, we had a mix of beginners and seasoned riders. But let me tell ya, it don't matter what your skill level is, they start ya from the ground up. And that's somethin' truly fantastic. I've been ridin' for years, thought I knew it all. But boy, was I wrong. I picked up a few tricks here that made me toss out my old habits. So if you're gonna take this course, keep an open mind and be ready to learn something new. Now, let's talk about the instructors we had female and male instructors at the ridin' course but to me just a great group. They had a totally laid-back vibe goin' on. Lots of jokes before the class started, just like a bunch of Harley riders hangin' out. But once it was time to get serious, they stepped up and showed their professionalism. Their goal was clear - to keep us safe, educate us, and keep us alive and payin' attention out there on the road. We may be vulnerable, but we still wanna have fun, right? And that's why we gotta do it the safe way. These instructors made sure we understood the skills and tactics of ridin' a motorcycle safely. It wasn't no military drill, but it was damn professional and helpful. And here's a little secret I heard from talkin' to different motorcycle insurance companies - you can score a discount by takin' this safety course. Now that's a win-win, my friends. And hey, I gotta mention this too. These guys got bikes for all sizes, whether you're a shorty or a tall drink of water. They even hook you up with loaner gear like helmets and gloves. No need to worry about bringin' your own stuff. They got ya covered, my fellow riders. And lastly, let me tell ya about the online portion of the class. It's got lots of questions, but just take your time and read 'em carefully. As long as you score an 80% or better on all sections, you're good to go. Now, when it comes to the road test at the Academy, practice makes perfect, my friends. Keep practicin' over and over again, so when test day comes, it's just another ride. Trust me, you'll be more than okay. From the mountain tops, I urge ya to take this course. Trust this team, 'cause they know their stuff. It was a great experience for a seasoned motorcycle rider like myself. The blend of people in the class was diverse - from all groups of San Diego, males and females, young and older like myself. But you know what? We all looked out for each other. That's the spirit of the road, my friends. So saddle up, take this course, and ride safe. Five strong stars to the Pacific Safety Center! Keep the rubber side down and the wind in your hair. Ride on!

I recently had a great experience attending PSC's CMSP program at the NICU Amphitheater location. Our instructors were Kenny and Alex, and they did a great job explaining and demonstrating the concepts required for safe and confident motorcycle operation. Due to the nature of this course, the attendees have a wide variety of skill, and I feel the instructors did a good job of keeping the more experienced riders involved while giving more hands-on attention to the newer riders, where appropriate and possible. I came into the course with some prior experience, but definitely learned a lot and now have new tools to continue my growth as a rider. I highly recommend this course to new riders, riders who are resuming after a gap, or those looking to use the course to be exempted from the DMV skills test requirement. Even if you think you know it all already, I'm sure you'll learn something new and your time and money will be well-spent.

I was and to this day still am unsure of what their beginner program offered. I've come to a conclusion. If PSC's goal is to teach it's students everything that would be covered on a DMV written test AND at the same time giving them the opportunity to see if you even like riding them with their on-site portion of the class. I'd give it a 5/5. The Classroom instruction was ideal. Nothing special about it, just like a college lecture. However, If they are trying to offer classroom education AND a physical welcoming learning environment for beginners, this is where my review rating drops. They have the education down, no problem. It's the instructors that they hire and how they control the environment. Yes I understand it needs to be safe and controlled. Most (not all) tend to be there just for a paycheck. The only times they would instruct you and give you pointers would be at the very beginning when they were demonstrating. It almost seemed like some cared more about how they looked and portrayed themselves riding their personal bikes. Which I thought it was strange how much they kept talking about themselves and their bikes instead of giving instructions and helping the people who had never ridden. It was almost like one big "Monkey See, Monkey Do" as they show you what to do once, you'd be expect to know how to do exactly what they did. I remember I had fallen once or twice and missed a few cones. My instructor would come over help me pick up the bike and then walk off. I was left there frustrated, embarrassed, and still not knowing what I'm doing wrong or how to prevent something from happening. I even remember saying loud enough, I don't know what I am doing and I'm starting to get really frustrated. My instructor proceeded to tell me that I should talk to someone about it and that was it. No instruction, no reassurance, nothing. So why 2/5 stars. Im going to assume that they are trying to offer classroom education and an enjoyable learning experience from their on-site riding. Unfortunately they are only offering half of that. However if the sole intent is offering education that is used to pass a test the company will give without really giving you the time and instructions on the actual bike. Meaning you just get to experience riding, not really knowing 100% of what your doing than yes. 5/5 stars. The on-site instruction is just not there for beginners. It's more or less them "baby sitting". My instructors were so bad and made such a bad experience that from the program I learned I will never get a motorcycle now since I've had a look into it's people who teach it's safety. Learning, Safety, and hands on instruction cannot be found together within this specific beginners program. Shayna and Mary thank you both the learning experience, honestly I will never forget it. Completing the program does not meaning finishing it. It means passing it. You can finish out everyday doing everything and still not complete it.

Charli and Chris were both super amazing instructors. Both were professional and really cared about making sure everyone was learning. Safety is always 1st on their mind. I'd highly recommend anyone that wants to learn to ride to take this course. Even if you do have some experience I'd still recommend and you learn more than just how to ride.

Absolutely amazing. Chris and Alex were great instructors. They took the time to help each student through their personal weak spots and had immense patience. I learned more from them in 2 days than any other training class I've taken ( for any subject ) in the last 10+ years. This is highly organized, and divides time amongst students perfectly. This was a real confidence builder. Thank you to Kerri and the rest of the team at PSC.

Easy! This course its very easy, options to do the writing test online and in person as well. At the range, pretty easy as well, way to go its to be open mind, and be receptive. For that people saying its "too much information for one day" if you can't handle info and you are too slow to get it, its not a course for you. Trainers are very patients, and they help out with anything you need or if you have questions. I got my card and it was pretty easy. I would recommend this course to anyone who would like his MSF course card.

Registering for a class is super easy. The problem comes when some major life event happens afterward and you need a refund. I was told my refund was processing for a week with no solid update, then nine days later was told it was finally being processed on a bank holiday before having the rest of my messages ignored. I was looking forward to re-registering but now I'm going to look at other options. I'll update this review to two stars when I receive my refund. Such disrespectful treatment for customer concerns...
