I just recently passed my driving test on first try and would highly recommend Greenlight Driving School and Shawn as a solid driving school and instructor. He used to be a test examiner for the DMV and thus very knowledgeable of the test and how it works. In the lessons, he teaches you how to drive and what to do to pass the test first time and most importantly, how to be a safe driver. While you are driving, he does call people and have you do some quick errands like having to go drop off mail or get gas from Costco, but I see it as experiences that help brand new drivers get used to normal driving. Shawn is the like friendly uncle that likes to talk while teaching you how to drive well. Like when you make dangerous mistakes, he will be firm in telling you about it, but it's all tough love. It's better to be told off so that you won't do the life-threatening mistake again. Sometimes, he will give you old driving tests (mine is in there now so there is a chance you can find it haha) and I heavily recommend looking at it deeply and asking questions about the many terms that are in the driving test. Knowing these terms and how you can get caught with these mistakes is crucial to not failing, and Shawn can explain them all and have you practice not making those mistakes. I highly recommend Shawn as a driving instructor for brand new drivers to help you pass the driving test first time and learn how to be a safe driver.

Very very useful instructions and very good training. Shawn is a very good teacher and I was a complete beginner when I started but only after 5 lessons he boosted my confidence to drive very comfortably and skillfully. Very helpful to pass the test on the first attempt. Also helped to practice freeway and canyon training a bit. Would highly recommend this driving school, excellent overall service and reasonable pricing as compared to other schools available in the valley.

My husband has a driver license from Mexico and needed to pass the DMV driving test. He just took a 2 hour refresher course with Ruby, and she was great! She arrived right on time and was able to show him all the pointers he needed. He took the test today and PASSED!!! We want to thank Ruby very much. It was also great that she speaks Spanish, so that was very helpful for him. We would highly recommend Ruby to anyone needed driving lessons.

Amazing!! I was nervous but I ending up passing on my first try with only 3 mistakes! Everything I learned was useful for the test. I felt prepared for the test. Could not have passed without him. My experience was great he really worked with my schedule. No other schools were accommodating in regards to passing before my permit expired but he was. He taught me how to be a safe driver and defensive driving techniques. Would definitely recommend.

It is very common getting into driving school focusing on attaining all the necessary skills required for passing behind-the-wheel test; which is good but Shawn takes you beyond that. Greenlight driving is the best! I totally recommend it. When I first started I had zero experience and I never thought I was going to learn to drive in a short time as I did. The instructor, Sean has the patience and gives you confidence which is very ideal for beginners or anyone who desires to learn how to drive. On the lessons planned they were all on time and I learned how to drive canyon and freeway as well. Another thing worth to mention was that the price was good and affordable. I was able to get my license in just two weeks!
