Safeway Driving School

I would like to thank Safeway Driving School in Simi Valley for helping me to get my twin girls to pass their driving test last week. Special thanks to Marilyn for helping to schedule lessons that fit my busy schedule. She's always nice on the phone. Also like to thank her for recommending James and Peter the two driving instructors. Both instructors were professional and very patient (have more patience than me ). Thank you both for your guidance and encouragement to the girls to get them well prepared for the test and keeping them safe during the lessons. Thank you again! Alan Below are reviews from each of my girls to their instructor. Hope to Peter... My instructor Peter considerately and remarkably helped me in my driving journey. He made sure to be constantly aware while I was driving and kept a tranquil demeanor to ensure that I was calm while driving. He helped me drive around many different areas and covered specific topics multiple times until I felt comfortable, providing clear instructions and helpful tips. As I drove around the different areas, he thoughtfully informed me on what the test would be like while noticing and correcting my mistakes. I was able to pass my first attempt with an unconcerned, ready mindset and I had a great, stress-free experience overall! Trinity to James... Instructor James was a very nice and encouraging instructor, and he always makes sure that I felt confident and capable when I was driving. He had many helpful tips and tricks for all aspects of driving, especially for curbs and parking for me! I passed on my first try with his help, and overall I had a great and safe experience in my driving practices while also feeling ready during my actual driving test!

We had a great experience with Safeway Driving School! My daughter passed the driving test on the first try. She had Peter and Rob from the Simi Valley office and they both were professional and super helpful in guiding my daughter. The office staff was also very courteous and easy to communicate with. I just finished up my lessons with Safeway and passed my driving test on the first try within two months of starting my lessons. Oliver was my instructor and I couldn't have asked for anyone sweeter and more encouraging! Their customer service was amazing as well, I recommend talking to Marilyn, she was so sweet and so helpful with any questions I had. Overall, I would definitely recommend this driving school for anyone wanting to learn how to drive.

I recently completed my driving lessons at Safeway Driving School at Simivalley and passed my behind-the-wheel test! The instructors were incredibly friendly and supportive. Peter was especially patient and a true gentleman, making the learning process enjoyable. Merylyn, the receptionist, was always welcoming and helpful, which really boosted my confidence. All three of my sons passed the first time. The last one got a perfect score and the person testing him wrote, "Excellent driving", on his test. Thank you Peter and Oliver and the office for making it so easy and doing such a good job. I highly recommend this company to anyone needing driving instruction. The previous review posted from someone else's account that had used my pc without my even clicking on anything and is listed on the wrong name and I cannot seem to delete it. Our daughter just received her license and we can't thank Safeway and Robert Pierce (her driving instructor) enough. They took the stress out of the process, even scheduling her test with the DMV, and Robert was incredibly patient with her, focusing each session on her specific weaknesses behind the wheel. He had her drive the Simi Valley test routes multiple times, scoring them, and giving her valuable feedback each time. A+ across the board.

I highly recommend Safeway! Marilyn the receptionist is incredible kind, caring, encouraging, and super funny! My son had Peter for 4 driving lessons and he was the best! My son felt very comfortable with him and always came back after the 2 hour lesson confident. Peter took him on the DMV routes multiple times and gave me a copy of the routes so I could practice with him too. So glad we chose Safeway for his school.

I would definitely recommend the Safeway Driving School for Simi Valley. The time has come, that my son is old enough to get his driver's license. I checked around and ended-up going with Safeway in Simi and am so glad that I did. They have been awesome from beginning to end. We're about to have our final lesson and then my son will be taking the test. First of all, the MVP here at the Simi Safeway is Marilyn! She is absolutely amazing, so nice, and so helpful. She always calls to schedule things and just makes it easy. She has always made an effort to work things out for our schedule and for us to get the driving instructor we liked. She also even helped coordinate it so that my son could have his final lesson the day before his driver's license test. This was so he could practice the route, practice the points of the test, and have all of that fresh in his mind for the big test. Our driving instructor James has been so cool and my son loved practicing with him. He is a very cool guy and a good man. He has a very calm, friendly demeanor, and he knows how to work with young people well. My son felt really comfortable with him. James was very punctual, professional, and friendly. He gave us tips and practice suggestions for my son to do in between lessons. There are businesses that do the same thing, offer the same service, and even charge a similar price. But it's the people that make a service great and I'm grateful to these two good people Marilyn & James for making this experience great for both my son and I. So I would recommend them to any of my neighbors, friends, and family. Thank you Marilyn and James!

I was told when we enrolled my son that he would pass, and they would help him achieve his goal of getting his driver license. I sign up for the most expensive part which is seven lessons to ensure that my son will get the training he needs because I'm always busy and I do not have time to teach. My son took seven lessons went to take the driving test and he failed the first time! They ghosted me, so I reached out to them again explain to them what happened, and I requested another lesson and another retake of test so he can ensure passing! They told me it would be additional $180 for the one lesson and to retake the test with their vehicle-so I agreed. My Son failed again. Never reached out to me, never explain what happened and they ghosted me again. I paid nearly $1,00.00 and they did not teach my son anything.! Now I have to start at square one, since I've been riding with him. I've noticed he does not have any clue about driving, and these people do not teach him anything. Being a very busy dad, I'm very disappointed and I feel they took advantage of us! Waste of time and Money!!! Do not consider this driving school for your Son or Daughter. This is my honest opinion about this driving school!!

I made a wise decision when I chose Safeway Driving for my teenage daughter. They are definitely 5 star! I drove her from Santa Clarita to Simi Valley for her lessons, and her instructor James was top notch. Believe me, it's well worth the drive. He knows how to encourage first time drivers, and he is always positive, thorough, and professional. The office staff is also awesome. For example, Marilyn would send reminders for our appointments, and she always accommodated our schedule. Everyone there has a sincere, caring, and friendly attitude. My daughter passed the DMV test with an excellent score on her first try.
