Mr. Hua was a great driving instructor! I passed my driving test the first time almost perfectly! He was very accommodating with my schedule. He even scheduled me a lesson the same day I got my permit when I called him! Totally recommend if you want to pass your driving test the first time!

Leigh arrived on time and didn't mind to overrun a little. But if you want an instructor who will actually teach you some skills, go find someone else. I had three sessions with him and could barely remember any skills that he taught. He either chitchat with me when I was driving, or gave me a big shout or a despised look when I made a mistake. He couldn't build my confidence in driving at all. After three sessions with Leigh, I just realized it's a waste of money and decided to practice more with my family instead and got my license.

If you wanna fail your driving test, find Leigh. I got my driver's license from another country years ago and just needed one lesson to get familiar with the California driving test. I had commonsense of safety driving but Leigh basically asked me to do every red flag to fail the test, such as do not check through traffic at a left turn (he said no need to worry about other people as they always stop at red lights), no need to turn back when I was backing, just check my right mirror, and no need to count 2~3 seconds after a full stop at a stop sign (WTF). I couldn't figure out if he just didn't know his shit or did this on purpose to charge me again for more lessons. But I was thoroughly disappointed. I saw good reviews before booking but it was surprisingly awful experience. Would not recommend to anyone.

We appreciate the accommodations made to get a last minute instruction appointment right before a drivers test. Leigh's stern demeanor gets his students prepared to practice between the 3 required lessons with with him at Global. It's only 3 lessons... then the DMV behind the wheel test.

Would give this place 6 stars if I could. It's been hard finding places that had any openings this summer, for both the lessons and a behind the wheel test, so initially that's why I chose global. I've always struggled with parking but the instructor explained it in such a way that I was able to get it my first time practicing it, needless to say I passed the Behind the Wheel test today. Would recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a driving school!

I definitely recommend taking lessons with Leigh Hua. Really funny and friendly guy who teaches very effectively! I got a perfect score on my first behind the wheel test because of his teaching.

Pros: Leigh came on time. I got a okay picture on my driving. Greets with a smile. Cons: Doesn't TEACH but instead puts you Down. Instead of putting confidence in you, he Talks in a very loud noise and in a very derogatory way, so it adds to the nervousness when driving instead of calming you down. When I was taking the driving test, the lady who took my driving test pointed out couple of mistakes that he never corrected me with. I would not recommend them to anyone especially if you need to learn driving from scratch. Doesn't teach well. You could definitely fail the test.

All three of my children have gone to Global Driving School, and this is going back 11 years. That should say something in itself that they are still in business after 6 years. We highly recommend this driving school, and we highly recommend Global - that's a gift to get in a car with new drivers and be so patient.

Leigh is the best instructor!!!What before seemed very difficult for me,he made everything so easy and simple to understand and gave me confidence! Called them to ask questions about my so. Getting his permit and the man who answered the phone was extremely rude. He even refused to answer my questions about drivers training due to my son not having his permit yet. I had questions like are you going to do freeway driving and night driving his response was I have business hours of 9-5. He is higher than the other schools and with that attitude I will patronize another business.

I would recommend Leigh Hua if and only if you want to have fun when your learning how to drive. If you want a strict instructor who is only there to teach, then Leigh Hua is not the driving instructor for you. Since I am someone who needs to stay attentative with interactivity rather than boring protocol, I strongly recommend this dude. He becomes your friend very quickly, and you learn how to drive from a friend! How fantastic is that! Yeah sure, he makes me drive around to interesting places like to use a restroom, to get a bite to eat, run errands, but its honestly not bad. He legitimately takes you around the city to every normal and legal driving scenario. He is very good at multi-tasking. He saved me from a car accident with an unsafe driver when it had seemed his attention was not to the road. He gives constructive criticism as well as positive feedback, and since you guys are friends, it doesn't seem condescending. His teaching is very genuine, if laid back. Best thing is. His teaching works. It doesn't matter how he teaches, as long as I'm enjoying myself, learning, and so on, it shouldn't matter. I passed my driving test on the first go btw several weeks after my last lesson. He also has a sick sense of humor. He liked to scare me, but it forced me to pay better attention to me. It seems like he only does that to me, but yeah. He knows what he is doing. I highly recommend Leigh Hua to anyone looking for a driving instructor with actual heart, and doesn't mind being a lot chiller than the traditional driving instructor because we all need a little chill in our lives. He seriously knows how to make one of our transitions into adulthood really fun, and I will always remember our time together T^T!!! GG Leigh

I signed up my daughter for a package of 3 two hour lessons, spoke at length with Leigh about reading bad reviews on another school, where the instructor was late, and had the student drive him around for his errands, stops for food ect. Leigh assured me that he was the owner and instructor and as such was appalled and would never do such things! Well....He LIED TO ME! He not only taught my daughter absolutely NOTHING, he had her drive to his house to check his mail, he was on his IPad all 3 Lessons, and when I confronted him on what could possibly be more important then my daughters safety, while he's on his IPad, he says he was working on his schedules for upcoming clients, my daughter had also saw him on Facebook and checking his Email!!! In the wasted 6 hrs with him, my daughter asked to learn to parallel park and was told....That's for my much better drivers. Today was her last lesson that he was a HALF HOUR Late for, and it ended by him having her drive him to his next clients house, having my daughter get in the backseat, terrified she was then driven by a first lesson driver, as they sped down the freeway to drop my daughter at home!!! GLOBAL 1 DRIVING SCHOOL IS NOTHING BUT A SCAM!!! Leigh Hua not only endangered my daughter by putting her in a car with an inexperienced driver, ignored anything she asked to be taught, but completely Failed us in teaching her to drive at all. DO NOT USE THIS SCHOOL, ITS AWFUL AND SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!!!

This is the best driving school.Lee is the best.I found him on yelp.I do not know what happened when I went to write this no reviews???Well he is patient knows how to teach.After my daughters lesson he told me what she needed to work on.Her last lesson was to the DMV and her license.His prices are the best.I am real anal when it comes to that.So I did the work for you.I called everywhere,But I think he is worth more.What others charge,Lee will teach you quicker and better.You will come back and thank me for writing this.

Global Driving School is the best driving school in the Sacramento area! Believe me, I had to change driving schools because I didn't feel like the previous instructor was helping me at all. Thankfully I found G.D.S and am very pleased with the services provided by Leigh. As a fellow hornet, I had faith in him and knew that I would do well on my driving test. Leigh created a very comfortable environment for me to learn how to drive and did not yell at me despite the mistakes that I made. He also has a pretty nice car so you will look nice driving around in his car. Leigh is very funny and has a nice, soothing personality that really relaxes you. What I mostly liked about him is that he had faith in me despite the fact that I would mess up here and there. The fact that he had faith in me gave me the confidence to believe in myself and pass my test on the first attempt! His prices are reasonable and you are better of going to this school than trying on your own or going elsewhere unless you want to waste your money. PS after your test you get a picture taken of you, so you will feel like a rockstar :D.

Great experience! Professional service and affordable prices too. I was a bit nervous because I had no prior driving experience, but the classes were very effective. The instructors were great and made sure that I felt comfortable and confident behind the wheel. I passed the DMV license test on my first try thanks to Global Driving School! I highly recommend this school to anyone who is ready to learn how to drive and get their license now!
