I highly recommend this driving school! Thanks to my instructor, Walter, I passed my driving test on the first try. Walter is incredibly patient, accommodating, and has excellent communication skills. When I had to cancel a lesson due to being sick, he was very understanding and flexible in rescheduling. From the very first lesson, Walter focused on preparing me to drive confidently with another adult and encouraged me to keep practicing between lessons. He covered everything I would be tested on and made sure I could perform each part of the test efficiently. As a 26-year-old who considers myself a nervous passenger, I was initially anxious about learning to drive. Walter helped me feel much more confident behind the wheel, which made all the difference. The option to use a company car for the test was also a big help since I don't currently have access to a car. Overall, I'm so glad I chose this driving school, and I can't thank Walter enough for his guidance and support!

After a disappointing experience with another driving school that left my daughter in tears, I started looking for alternatives and stumbled upon Downtown Driving School through their glowing reviews. Feeling the pressure of my daughter's permit expiring in just a month, I decided to take a chance on them. To my relief, they were able to accommodate us for three consecutive Saturdays of driving lessons, scheduling her license test just three days before her permit was due to expire in the fourth week. Their schedules are flexible, they guide your every step of the process, and come to your house. The cost is lower than most behind the wheel schools. My son was really comfortable with the driving instructor Julia.

My instructor Julia was the sweetest most patient person! She took the time to explain things carefully and made sure to practice the turns that I had a hard time accomplishing well. She walked me through my entire drivers license process intentionally. And I would say if you are planning on taking lessons with this school I would highly recommended asking that Julia be your instructor.

I signed up for 6 lessons and a road test. The schedule is flexible. No more practice at home, and no more driving experience before; I just passed on my first try today with 13 errors (my examiner was really tough).Walter taught me the first two lessons. Then Julia taught me the rest and took me to the DMV. Both of them are patient and skilled. They really helped me to be confident on the road. Walter taught me some skills on the roads. Julia always reminds me of everything like traffic checks, speed, right of way,... So I got a habit of good driving skills.Thank you, my instructors!

My son passed his behind the wheel on his first attempt after completing the three driving lessons package. He even did so without any mistakes, he had a perfect test score. He did have three different instructors per lesson, but all of them were great! The only thing that I would recommend for parents to know is that the instructors will text your child/student if they are going to be late, the first time I kept checking my phone and then realized they were texting him, which was a good thing because it's his lesson to begin with. Also, I recommend scheduling your student's very last driving lesson within one week of their test, this was so helpful for us! I've already recommended this school to others because of our experience with them.

Apparently the instructor had a technical issue and didn't show up on time. 30 minutes later he comes with an attitude and an explanation but no apology. Once he notices my annoyance he says he rather not start off on the wrong foot and we can just cancel the lesson. I tell him I haven't heard an apology at all yet and his lack of professionalism doesn't make me comfortable to trust our teen to him at this point. So we cancel and he drives off. Unprofessional and disappointing. We should've known with only 21 reviews.

Perfect test!! So glad I chose this school! I had previously bought 5 lessons at another driving school, but after taking them I still felt unprepared and anxious to be on the road. After failing my first drivers exam I decided to take a chance on another school and boy am I glad I did! I had driven with two other instructors at my previous driving school and neither of them helped me feel as confident driving or helped me understand and remember the rules of the road like Walter did. Walter greatly balanced teaching you what you need to know, while keeping it calm and fun. He was very patient, encouraging, and funny making it a great experience over all. I ordered 7 lessons + DMV Exam from Walter and the end results were me passing my DMV Driving Exam with 0 errors! And that's with no one taking me to practice driving outside of the lesson either. I left my last driving school still scared to drive, and yet I left Downtown Driving School excited to! Thank you Walter, it was fun!

They make sure you are fully prepared :) They are super friendly and make sure their job gets done about making sure that your kid is a safe driver!
