Impaired driving causes the most deaths on the road forms of impaired driving can be using drugs alcohol pills fatigue texting distracted driving it affects driving ability by not making reaction times quick enough can make u not focus as well texting can keep your eyes not on the road it can make u drive on the wrong side of the road or even crash into other drivers can make u not as alert also the stories I've heard of impaired driving are there was a family driving home from church and an incoming car with an drunk driver hit there car and killed the kids in the car very sad story drivers ed can help people understand what exactly impaired driving is and behaviors and the dangers and what not to do the program makes it affective by teaching kids how to drive what to do and what not to do gives kids the information to know what the road signs mean the steps to driving a car the information for taking the road test knowing rules and laws that you need to follow to operate a car the practice of driving a car and the required hours needed for driving a car the speed limits to go by the sides of the road to drive on how to operate a car and all of the mechanisms of the car on the inside and outside how to use all of your mirrors gives the kids more clarity on impaired driving and to follow the rules of wearing a seat belt what each road sign means and which lane you should drive in it also teaches them how to switch lanes and the use of blinkers headlights windshield wipers texted them to not text and drive to keep there eyes on the road that being hungry angry lonely or tired is also impaired driving drinking using drugs distracted driving even not watching the road it teaches safe ways of driving what to do and what not to do when I was in school drivers education taught me a lot I still use those skills to this day when I drive I even feel like some adults should refresh there skills and have to re study the test for driving and it also teaches that seatbelts should be used always and the repercussions of not using a seatbelt when my father was younger he was in the car with friends he didn't wear his seat belt and he actually went head first through the windscreen of his car and that has always stuck with me to this day i even didn't wear a seat belt one day driving and a sherif followed me home and told me the dangers of not wearing one and how he just saw an accident on the way and gave me a warning but I'm so thankful for that officer for keeping me safe another impaired driving can also be speeding not following the speed limit also when there's snow on the ground or ice it can make speeding very dangerous and even kill the person driving or other people driving drivers education taught me how far away to drive behind others just in case of an unexpected stop or even slippery roads from snow or ice or even rain drivers education even helps people to feel more confident and comfortable driving on the road another story of impaired driving is my daughters dad drove drunk and got his license taken away and had to pay many fines to this day he drives without a license very bad another example of impaired driving could be driving without proper training testing or practice and driving without a proper license or permit and not knowing the rules of the road how to switch lanes or even not following signs on the road speeding on slippery roads or even drinking or driving while operating a motor vehicle I just want to say thanks for your time and I'm very happy you guys have this program to help people like me I'm a single mom on social security who can't afford to pay for this on my own me and my son would really appreciate this help if we are picked we lost my dad tragically a few years ago and money has been tight please consider us and we will make you proud and pay it forward I promise to teach my son all I have learned thank u
