I believe being safe while driving is very important. What you are doing in the car depends on how you drive and what happens on the road and outside of the car. Being on your phone is one of the worst things you can do while driving, even if you think that you can be on your phone and watch the road at the same time it isn't always that easy. If you are on your phone and an animal runs out in front of you, you will not see it as fast as you would be able to if you weren't on your phone. Which can turn out very dangerous, like seeing a deer a second later can cause you to hit the deer and get your car totaled. It can even turn into injuries of people happening depending on how fast you are going. If you are going really fast and hit the deer it can be a lot of force which can cause lots of damage and could get people hurt. Also if you are on your phone and not paying attention and a car pulls out in front of you and you can not see it right away because you were looking at your phone that can turn into a bad accident. While if you were not on your phone you would have seen it quicker and been able to hit the brakes much faster. There are so many ways that being on your phone can be dangerous while driving. There are also many other things that are dangerous while driving like just going to change the music and taking your eyes off the road for just a second can create a horrible incident or accident. Doing anything and taking your eyes off the road can always turn into something bad like an accident. There was a bad wreck near me recently and in 1 car was turning left and coming from the other way a car was going straight. The light turned yellow and both of the cars wanted to beat the light so they both sped up to go and it created a really bad crash. One car got hit all the way down a field and both cars were really badly damaged. A kid that just had graduated was in the back of one of the cars and got really injured. They didn't think he was going to make it, he did thankfully but this just proves that doing 1 thing differently while driving can be a crazy change. If both cars probably would have just waited there probably wouldn't have been that accident. So always be smart while driving and never do something on the road that you have to really think about if you should go or not. If you are trying to decide if you can time to go, then just wait. There is no harm in waiting but there can be harm in going then realizing you shouldn't have because you actually didn't have enough time. There is no going back to driving, so if you are questioning things just don't do it and wait. Never let there be a distraction, even if someone in your car is trying to get you to look at something in the back. Don't do it because looking bad even for just the smallest time can cause something to happen that could have been avoided if you had been just looking at the road. Always think smartly while driving, don't do anything that you will regret. And don't be the reason of an accident, just pay attention to your car and driving but also what other cars are doing and how they are driving. You can't drive for other people but you can pay attention to what they are doing in their car so if they are not driving well, you can avoid anything happening from their car to yours. Also never try to beat a yellow light, something can always happen while trying to beat a yellow light. There is no harm in just waiting until the light turns green again. Always be watching around your car, don't make it a distraction but just know what is going on around you. Do not speed, speeding can be very dangerous. There are speed limits for a reason and it is partly for safety. They want you to go a certain speed for a reason, they don't just have speed limits for fun. They have them for safety and you should not go over the speed so there isn't an incident that happens because of that. So always think while you are driving and do the best you can to avoid anything that is in your control. Be a safe and smart driver.
